Attorney Phil Hingson has been practicing law in Oregon for over 28 years. He established our firm in Portland to provide personal, comprehensive legal guidance and action in estate and elder law matters. Our clients benefit from his in-depth knowledge of current issues, tools and strategies. They particularly appreciate Phil's calm, sensitive, and practical approach to issues from the straightforward to the financially and emotionally momentous.
Phil is a member of the Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Real Estate sections of the Oregon State Bar. He has written articles for the Elder Law Newsletter and has also given presentations to various civic and religious groups in his special areas of expertise.
Raised in Ohio, Phil moved to Oregon in 1992. He holds a B.A. cum laude in International Relations and a J.D., both from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Phil spent two years living in Austria, where he learned to speak German. Prior to opening The Hingson Law Firm, PC, Phil practiced law on the Central Oregon Coast for 9 years and then worked 5 years at Fitzwater Meyer Hollis & Marmion, LLP, in Portland.
