Phil is a member of the Estate Planning, Elder Law and Real Estate sections of the Oregon State Bar, and has written articles for the Elder Law Newsletter. He has also given presentations to various civic and religious groups in his areas of expertise.
Raised in Ohio, Phil moved to Oregon in 1992. He holds a B.A. cum laude in International Relations and a J.D., both from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Phil spent two years living in Austria, where he learned to speak German. Prior to opening The Hingson Law Firm, PC, Phil practiced law on the Central Coast for 9 years, and then worked at Fitzwater & Meyer, LLP in Portland, OR.
